Friday’s Fashion Finds

It’s the first day of Fall, and Friday!  What could be better than a Fashion Finds post on one of my favorite Fall looks; skirts with boots!  My favorite part about Fall is breaking out all of my cute boots!  You can wear them with anything; over leggings, with jeans, dresses, and my personal favorite, skirts!  It really is a wonderful time of year for the fashion world.
This week, I am not only going to post a collage image you can shop, but I am also including photos of myself, in pieces from my own wardrobe!  The set I created is a mixture of skirts I LOVE, some cute Fall tops, and I threw a simple dress in there as well.  I made sure to include different types of boots, because there really is no end to adorable styles!  The best part?  All the pieces I chose are under $50!  Shop the look below…
Boots with Skirts

See anything you like?  I personally love the over-the-knee boots, but I have always had a soft spot for tall boots.  Now, take a look at my own outfit looks below!

This first outfit is my favorite of the three looks I put together.  The skirt is a new addition to my closet for the Fall, and it is actually a skort!  I bought the skort, and the black tank I am wearing (under the jacket) both at Express.  You can’t tell from the photo, but the skirt has pretty ruffled layers.  I bought the lace-up boots a few years ago from DSW, for only $10 on clearance!  The jacket is by Free People.  It is one of my favorite pieces in my closet, and I scored it for free at my old job, working for 2 Tyming Threads.

Fall isn’t just about the tall boots, a cute ankle boot is just as chic!  Back when I was working 9-5 (before the kids came), this was a go-to look for me.  You are probably going to notice that a lot of my clothes come from Express, and this sheath dress is no exception!  I’ve had it for a few years now, and the fabrics pleated technique is incredibly flattering on all body types!  I have worn my knee-high boots with this look in the past, but I figured it was the perfect outfit to show off my ankle boots from Off Broadway Shoes.

This 3rd look is my “money-saving” look.  Each piece was $20 or less!  The lace up boots (and leg warmers) came from Ebay.  I bought both of them from a chinese retailer, so the boots were only $10, and the leg warmers only $5!  You can score some great stuff on Ebay from China, just watch out for their shipping charges!

The skirt is a high-waist plaid skirt, from Rue 21, and the jacket is by Mudd.  I bought it on sale at Kohls.  I like to shop around a lot, rather than just have one place be my “go to.”  My only exception is Express, because their clothes are good quality, and fit me incredibly well.  It has gotten to the point where I don’t really need to try their clothes on anymore, I know my size with them.

Do you have a favorite outfit from the collage, or any of the looks I posted?  Fall is always the best time of the year for me to show off some of my favorite pieces in my closet, and I always love to see what other people are wearing!

Have a great weekend!
