Tula Skincare

I have been rather fickle with skincare products over the years. Try as I might, I just couldn’t find a product or routine that I could really commit too. I haven’t had an outright problem with acne, but I would get the random breakouts here and there. My skin seems to live in a place of oily or dry, causing me to constantly select the skincare box that says “combination.” The problem is, my skin isn’t always a combination of the two. My skin will usually be dry; Then there is a shift in the mighty Cosmos and suddenly my skin is oily. It was maddening.

I have tried the drugstore brands, and the top of the line brands. I have even tried the brands that magically appeared in my inbox from a girl I met once in high school who wanted to “reconnect.” You know the one; “Hey girl! It’s been way too long! Have you heard about this amazing product?”

My skin was tired of trying new things; I found a drugstore brand I liked and called it a day. That all changed when I received my first box from Fab Fit Fun. The Fab Fit Fun box is a subscription box generally filled with fun products ranging from jewelry, fashion and beauty etc. It’s how I came to be first introduced to the Tula Skincare line.

I was sent a full sized bottle of the Tula Purifying Cleanser, and I fell in love. The color of the entire line is in that beautiful Tiffany Blue, and this is one of the first skincare lines I have seen to be a Probiotic for the skin. I tried the cleanser a few times in the shower and I was hooked! There was no tight dry feeling after the shower, and overall my skin just started to look and feel better.

Before and After Makeup Look

The above photo is my most recent before and after makeup look. I posted this on my Instagram (@pretty_and_practical) to show the power of a good foundation. I have freckles, dark spots and circles. What I don’t have is acne, dry skin, or a whole lot of wrinkles. I am 34 years old and I am proud to have skin that is healthy and aging gracefully. Makeup is great for hiding flaws, but at the end of the day the makeup has to come off. The lasting effects of a good skincare routine will stay. I have been using the Tula products for over a year now, and I am still pleased with the results.

I will be the first to admit that the Tula skincare line is on the pricey side. I have tried more expensive options that just weren’t worth the money, but Tula is! My first purchase of Tula was the products you see above. I had the cleanser, and I wanted to try the 24-7 moisture day and night cream. It retails for $52, but I promise you a little goes a long way! (If you sign up for auto-delivery on the Tula website you can save a few dollars.) I also purchased the Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm, which is a must have for DE-puffing those under eyes and helping with those dark circles. The eye balm retails for $28, and I have only needed to buy it once. It lasts a long time! The last item I bought was the Blurring & Moisturizing Primer. I love this primer, and I’m very excited to say they just released a bigger size! The original size I bought is $34 for 1 fluid ounce. If you love it like I do, you will use it up quickly. It’s a great primer to wear alone on the “no makeup” days, or under foundation for a flawless finish.

The Tula website is easy to manage, and you can search products by your skincare concern. I highly recommend you order one of the value sets as your first purchase so you can try multiple products at once. It is the better value for your money, and they are also the perfect travel size!

My latest purchase (which I have not received yet) is the set pictured above. I mentioned I am in my 30’s, so I wanted to change up the routine a bit and start introducing some products that will help my skin in the aging process. The kit comes with everything seen above, including the cute travel bag! I will be receiving the cleanser, face cream, wrinkle serum, eye serum and 2 reviving treatment pads. I am pretty excited to try the new products!

When you go to the Tula site, you can sign up to receive their emails and get a code for 15% off. I am not affiliated with Tula, but I do have a code for you that will save you 20% off your purchase! Just Click Here to save 20% off your order.

Last but not least on my newest Tula Order, is one of their newest products! The only thing that caused me to hesitate in first purchasing Tula products was the fact that their skincare line didn’t have SPF in any of the products. I have always worn SPF in my skincare products to help protect my fair skin from the sun. When I saw Tula release this sunscreen, I had to have it!

Just like the rest of their line, the Sunscreen is made with Probiotics and Superfoods. It retails for $36. I haven’t received this product yet, so I can’t give a review on how it feels, but I am excited to try it. With the summer season fast approaching, SPF is a must for my skincare routine.

Have you tried any products from the Tula line? Let me know if you have! I would love to know what you think, and what skincare products you are currently using!

xoxo – Kat
